Delete your VerbaWrist data or account

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This page explains how to delete your recordings and other data without deleting your VerbaWrist account, how to delete your entire account, and what happens to your data. VerbaWrist is provided by Haugli Multiservice. Contact: VerbaWrist@gmail.com.

Delete data without deleting your account

You do not need to delete your VerbaWrist account to delete your recordings. Recordings and their transcripts, speaker names and summaries are stored on your phone, and you can delete them at any time:

  1. Open VerbaWrist on your phone. Your recordings are listed on the Home screen.
  2. To delete one recording, tap it, then tap Delete recording on the recording's page. To delete several, touch and hold a recording, tap any others you want to delete, then tap the delete icon at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Delete to confirm.

Deleting a recording permanently removes from your phone its audio, its transcript, its speaker data (speaker turns and names), its summary, and its title and folder entry. Any transcription or summary still being made for it is stopped, and a cloud transcription in progress is cancelled. Folders themselves are kept. This cannot be undone. A recording that is still being recorded must be stopped first.

Deleting a recording on the phone does not delete a copy that is still on your watch. On the watch, open the recording and tap Delete from watch. The watch can also remove copies automatically once your phone has a verified copy (watch setting Keep verified recordings on watch).

To remove all VerbaWrist data stored on your phone, including recordings, transcripts, summaries, downloaded offline models and settings, uninstall the app. VerbaWrist data is not included in Android backups. Uninstalling the watch app removes its data from the watch. Uninstalling does not delete your account.

Data in our cloud is deleted automatically: temporary audio and transcripts are deleted after processing (at the latest by a storage rule after 2 days), and cloud summaries are kept for up to 30 days.

To ask us to delete other personal data we hold about you on our servers without deleting your account, e-mail VerbaWrist@gmail.com from, or naming, the Google account you use with VerbaWrist. We verify that the request comes from the account holder and then delete the data we do not need to keep. Records we must keep by law, or that are needed to run your account, plan, trial or subscription (such as purchase and trial records), are kept as described in the VerbaWrist Privacy Policy.

To delete your entire VerbaWrist account instead, follow the steps below.

Delete your account in the app

Deleting your account deletes your entire VerbaWrist account, not only individual recordings.

  1. Open VerbaWrist on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings → Account & Plan → Delete account.
  3. Read what will be deleted and kept. Choose whether to also delete the recordings and other VerbaWrist data stored on this phone (this is off unless you turn it on).
  4. Tap Continue, then Delete account.
  5. If you signed in with Google, Google asks you to confirm it is you.

When the deletion is confirmed, the app signs you out and shows that your account has been deleted.

What is deleted

Deletion starts as soon as you confirm it. If a step cannot be finished straight away, our service retries automatically until it is complete. From the moment you confirm, the account can no longer be used.

What stays on your phone

Recordings, transcripts, speaker names, summaries, titles and folders are stored on your phone, not in your account. They are kept unless you choose "Also delete recordings and other VerbaWrist data stored on this phone" when you delete your account. Downloaded on-device models and settings stay on the phone either way. You can also delete individual recordings in the app, or everything by uninstalling the app.

Your Google Play subscription is not cancelled

Deleting your VerbaWrist account does not cancel your Google Play subscription, request a refund or end it early. To stop future payments, cancel it in Google Play:

If you use VerbaWrist again later, an active subscription can be restored to a new account by signing in with Google on a phone that uses the Google Play account that bought it.

Limited records we keep

A few limited records are kept after deletion. They are no longer linked to your account and are not used to run an account:

Temporary audio and transcripts that were still being processed are removed by automatic cleanup, at the latest by a storage rule after 2 days. Our hosting provider's request logs, which can include technical request details, are kept for 30 days.

If you cannot use the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot complete the deletion in the app, e-mail us at VerbaWrist@gmail.com. Write from, or name, the Google account you used with VerbaWrist. We must verify that the request comes from the account holder before we can delete the account, and may ask you for more information to do so. Once the request is verified, we delete the account as described above.
